By setting your shop alongside these big brands, you are much more likely to be noticed by shoppers, who might just ‘pop in’ for a minute to look. Then, it’s up to you to convince them to buy.
Space
The mezzanine flooring most shopping centres have offers a variety of space for any number of shops. This multi-level building should also mean that each shop should have a large amount of space available. Much more, it is likely compared to a high street store, which will aim to fit many shops down a small road.
With extra space available to you, you can have larger amounts of stock, and the space required for any presentation you need.
Ease of Access
Shopping centres’ accessibility works two ways - for you and the consumer.
Most shopping centres contain in-built parking or at least offer nearby parking. This makes the shopping experience easier for consumers - giving them the ability to buy more and higher-priced items - and make transport easier for your workers.

Similarly, the popularity of the high street can’t rival that of shopping centres due to the food and drink available in shopping centres. Shopping centres almost provide a day out for consumers, who can do their shopping and grab a bite to eat or a hot drink, all in the same place. Consumers are much more likely to stay longer, raising the likelihood of more frequent foot traffic.
Rent
Rent is one of the highest costs for businesses, and luckily, shopping centres tend to offer lower rates than high streets. So not only are you receiving more foot traffic, and likely more profit as a result, but your costs are also going to be lower? Seems like a no brainer.
Investing in Shopping Centre Placement
Though it may not make sense to invest in locating in a shopping centre right now, some places are offering even lower rents as in-person shopping declines during the pandemic. Just think of the future pay off - when shopping is allowed freely again, many will flock to shopping centres, just for a feeling of past normalcy.
